Our story
From a three-person operation
Back in 2013, three childhood friends from Tuusula, Finland, saw an opportunity: What if there was a tool to help B2B salespeople have the right sales instinct? What if they had the data when and where they needed it to deliver a personalized sales experience every time? Those questions were what ultimately led to the formation of Vainu.
The brand name is a tongue-in-cheek play on the Finnish word ‘vainu’, which means both a hunch or an instinct as well as the scent that an animal picks up when hunting—apt for a tool built to help salespeople in the sales process.
To a global company
While enabling salespeople to perform better is still a goal of ours, our horizons have expanded since 2013, and we’ve come to realize that it’s not only salespeople that can benefit from company data; it’s the entire organization.
Vainu's mission is to empower B2B sales, marketing, and operations professionals to achieve their business goals. We do this by delivering company data that matters to the processes and systems of our clients with versatile delivery methods. We're poised to expand from the Nordics into the international market with our new AI-powered global offering.
An international team of professionals
Vainu is built by a team of data engineers, machine learning specialists, software developers, designers, strategists, salespeople, and marketers. We believe that with data-driven insights, our customers can work smarter and, ultimately, grow their bottom line.
We are a group of driven individuals with diverse backgrounds and unique needs at work. We know that by working together and helping each other out, we can solve the various problems our customers are facing.
Our organization is divided into product development, commercial team, and support functions. Most of our roles are global in all Nordic countries, and cross-country collaboration is essential in various development projects and customer cases.
How we work
We want our employees to feel productive also on Mondays.
Thus, working at Vainu is highly flexible: The teams have ambitious goals and full freedom to decide how to get there. Our offices are located in Helsinki, Stockholm, Oslo, and Copenhagen, but our remote work policy is flexible—you can decide how and where you want to work. However, we're active in organizing various gatherings at our offices that, hopefully, make you want to come and meet your colleagues in person.
